For more than a century, Brattleboro Memorial
Hospital has provided for the healthcare needs
of the residents of southern Vermont and the
tri-state area. We provide the same excellent
hands-on care we did in the early 1900s, but
the care is now augmented with technological
advances appropriate for a community hospital.
As a progressive healthcare institution, our
mission is both to provide comprehensive
healthcare for residents of the region, and
to promote health and wellness for the area.
A not-for-profit institution, Brattleboro Memorial
Hospital provides primary and acute medical care to
more than 2,000 inpatients each year in its 61-bed facility
which is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation
of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). More than 2,500
surgical procedures are also performed annually at BMH,
many of which are same-day surgery.
BMH offers many diagnostic and treatment services beyond
those singled out with photo icons on this page. You
may select from the list below left for further information.
- The Medical/Surgical
Units at BMH provide inpatient care to the
medical, surgical, and pediatric population. Cardiac
and vital signs monitoring (telemetry) is available
for patients moving from the Special Care Unit out
to the Medical/Surgical floor. These 2nd and 3rd floor
units are designed for patients with general medical
conditions and for pre- and post-operative patient
care.
